Because you are a child of immigrants. Because you've been told to go back home. Because America is your home. Because you know its about more than folkdances and food. Because you are more than just a member of an Asian Club. Because you're not sure which box to check. Because being Asian American is not solely kung fu, Chinese take out, and dry cleaners. Because you've been called a dothead, chink, jap, mut and terrorist. Because you are not a stereotype. Because it's not in the textbooks. Because you want to know about your history. Because it isn't always about a war-torn, ravaged land. Because you are an artist. Because you do not want their sympathy. Because you are a writer.

100X100
A YAWP Fundraising Initiative
We invite you to become a member of the 100x100 Initiative, a group of thoughtful and generous individuals who want to impact the lives of young Asian/Pacific Islander Americans by supporting a safe space to create, grow, change, cultivate, reflect and transform through the arts.
The 100X100 Initiative seeks 100 individuals to each contribute $100 to establish the seed funding for YAWP. Currently, YAWP is organized and funded by donations from our members, a group of volunteers. Your donations will contribute to critical programming that focuses on artistic, youth, and audience development for Asian/Pacific Islander Americans (APIAs) in the performing, literary, visual, and emerging arts and cultivate programs that build understanding, empathy and critical consciousness.
As a 100X100 Initiative member, you'll be one of only 100 seed donors of YAWP and will be recognized as such in all program, PR, and marketing materials. Join today and be the catalyst for our continued growth!
